In response to the growing awareness of cryptocurrencies in the region, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has created Pakistan’s first-ever Crypto Advisory Committee.
Ziaullah Bangash, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Science and Technology, made the announcement after meeting with concerned provincial assembly members who endorsed the initiative.
The Advisory Committee’s first meeting is scheduled for March 17th, and it will “research and discuss effective steps to regulate, legalize, and legislate key regulations,” according to him.
According to the notice, the meeting will be held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technology Board. Due to the new COVID-19 situation, members will be able to attend the meeting both online and in person.
