Asif Ahmad has been appointed General Manager of IBM Pakistan, according to IBM. Ghazanfar Ali, who has led IBM’s business operations in Pakistan since 2016 and has moved to a new leadership position in IBM Middle East and Africa, will be succeeded by Ahmad.
“Adoption of technology is not only critical for a profitable, more efficient market, but it is also a key driver of economic development and growth,” Ahmad said. “It is an honour to lead IBM Pakistan, and I look forward to working with governments and clients around the country to help them enjoy the benefits of IBM’s hybrid cloud and AI portfolio with my colleagues.”
“Ahmad is a valued leader with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and partnering with our clients on their transformation journeys,” said Hossam Seif El-Din, General Manager for IBM Middle East and Pakistan.
