Hilton, a global leader in the hospitality industry, continues its strategic expansion in Saudi Arabia with the announcement of Hilton Dammam Airport, the brand’s inaugural airport hotel in the country. This significant project, consisting of 273 well-appointed rooms, is the result of a collaboration between Hilton, Al Musbah Group, and Dammam Airports Company (DACO).
Hilton Dammam Airport will offer travelers a modern and convenient stay experience, boasting direct skywalk access to the terminal building at King Fahd International Airport. As one of Saudi Arabia’s busiest airports, it serves as a gateway for approximately 10 million passengers annually. The hotel’s prime location provides easy access not only to Dammam City Centre but also to Dharan, Khobar, and neighboring Bahrain.
King Fahd International Airport holds strategic importance as a hub for major airlines such as Saudia, Aramco Aviation, and FlyNas. With more than 70 international destinations served by over 50 airlines, the airport plays a pivotal role in the region. It also houses a dedicated Saudi Aramco terminal, an Oxford-authorised training center, an aviation academy, and a sizable cargo village.
Mohammed Al Hassani, CEO of Dammam Airports Company (DACO), expressed his enthusiasm for this venture, emphasizing its positive impact on passenger services at the airport. He stated, “We are delighted to work with our partners Al Musbah Group and Hilton to develop this new Hilton hotel at the busy King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. We are confident the Al Musbah Group and Hilton partnership will be a great, long-term success.”
Hilton Dammam Airport will feature 273 guest rooms, junior suites, and spacious one and two-bedroom suites. The hotel will offer an array of amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a café, an outdoor pool with an adjacent café, and fitness centers, ensuring guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For business travelers, the hotel will provide state-of-the-art meeting facilities, including several meeting rooms and an executive lounge accommodating up to 90 people.
Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for Middle East & Africa at Hilton, noted, “Saudi Arabia’s rapid evolution continues to provide exciting growth opportunities for Hilton, and we’re working with our owners to introduce more award-winning hospitality brands in locations throughout the country. This signing is another example of Hilton’s commitment to supporting the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia and to enabling growth in key destinations as well as up-and-coming, large-scale developments and secondary cities.”
With 16 hotels currently operating in Saudi Arabia, Hilton has ambitious plans to introduce over 50 new hotels across ten of its renowned brands. This expansion initiative establishes Saudi Arabia as Hilton’s largest pipeline market in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. Among the forthcoming projects are the introduction of new brands like LXR Hotels & Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton. Hilton’s strategic vision aims to increase its portfolio to more than 75 properties within the kingdom in the coming years.
