‘North Air’ awarded license to fly Chitral, GB, Gwadar routes

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) granted a TPRI (Tourism Promotion and Regional Integration) license to a newly founded private airline named North Air on Saturday in order to increase tourism.

According to CAA information, the newly founded private airline would fly flights to Gilgit, Skardu, Chitral, and Gwadar.

The airline will begin operations with flights between Islamabad and Gilgit, Islamabad and Skardu, Islamabad and Chitral, and Islamabad and Gwadar. The private airline’s headquarters were built at New Islamabad Airport.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national carrier, recently began direct flights from Lahore to northern locations.

The PIA operates Skardu flights utilizing Airbus A-320 aircraft, with a one-way ticket of Rs7500.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had also announced the establishment of two weekly flights between Karachi and Skardu to accommodate tourists.
