Atif Bokhari, Minister of State/Chairman of the Board of Investment, was visited by Ali Can Aksu, President of the Turkish Tourism Hotel Managers Association, and his team at the BOI office to discuss investment opportunities and provide specialized services/expertise on the Pakistan tourism and hospitality industry.
TUROYD is a non-profit organization comprised of hotels and tour operators committed to the activation and expansion of civil society programmes in the tourism field, as well as the sponsorship of individuals and organizations active in the industry. They offer specialized services to 71 countries around the world.
Mr. Ali claimed during his presentation that as a result of the current pandemic, tourism dynamics have changed significantly, and that their organization is working to encourage ecological tourism. He went on to say that they are always looking for new tourist destinations, and that Pakistan has the potential to be one of the best in the region, if not the world.
Mr. Ali stressed that TUROYD supports the country’s cultural growth and shares their expertise and experience to promote Pakistan as a tourist destination, in addition to tourism and hospitality.
