From May of this year, the federal government plans to launch a new e-passport programme.

According to the specifics, each e-passport will contain a microchip containing all of the traveler’s biometric information to help in the authentication of the traveler’s identity.

Two pictures of the passport holder will now be shown on the main page of the most recent e-passport. The launch of the e-passport service would also help airport officials complete the travel process as quickly as possible.

Additional information that could be needed in the future may be added to the most recent e-passport, which can only be done by Pakistani immigration and passport officials.

The introduction of e-passports that cannot be forged or copied would be the most important step in this direction.
