After 12 years of dedicated service, Ghazanfar Azzam has announced his decision to step down as the President and CEO of Mobilink Microfinance Bank. During his tenure, Azzam played a pivotal role in driving the remarkable growth of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, solidifying its position as a leader in the Microfinance sector. Under his leadership, the bank underwent rapid digital transformation, enhancing its financial stability, business resilience, and future readiness.

Effective April 29, 2024, Mobilink Microfinance Bank‘s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, will take on the role of Interim CEO. However, this appointment is subject to approval from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Board of Directors (BoD) has initiated the search for the next CEO, who will be tasked with continuing the bank’s mission and ensuring its long-term success.

Chairman of the Board of Directors at Mobilink Microfinance Bank and CEO of Jazz, Aamir Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to Ghazanfar for his valuable contributions over the years. He wished Azzam the best of luck in his future endeavors and reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a seamless transition. Ibrahim emphasized the importance of maintaining the high standards of service and integrity that customers have come to expect from Mobilink Bank.

The announcement of Azzam’s departure marks a significant moment for Mobilink Microfinance Bank, as it prepares for a new chapter under the leadership of an interim CEO and the eventual appointment of a permanent successor. The bank remains steadfast in its commitment to serving its customers and driving innovation in the Microfinance sector.
