The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has unveiled plans for a significant upgrade to its online filing system, transitioning from the current ‘eServices’ platform to the more advanced and user-friendly ‘eZfile’ portal.
Scheduled for public accessibility from February 15, 2024, ‘eZfile’ promises enhanced features and improved accessibility to streamline services and filings with the SECP.
In preparation for the transition, the SECP has advised users to complete all pending tasks within the existing ‘eServices’ system. Furthermore, stakeholders are urged to rectify any discrepancies in submitted returns through the relevant Company Registration Offices.
To facilitate a smooth transition, a ‘blackout period’ will be implemented by the SECP, starting from February 9, 2024, for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs), and February 12, 2024, for companies. During this period, the ‘eServices’ system will remain unavailable.
Following the launch of ‘eZfile’, updated versions of statutory forms specified under the ‘Companies Regulations, 2024’ will be exclusively accessible through the new platform.
However, the SECP anticipates potential disruptions during the initial launch phase of ‘eZfile’ and encourages stakeholders to remain patient and cooperative during this transition period.
The introduction of ‘eZfile’ marks a significant milestone in SECP’s efforts to modernize and improve digital services, aiming to enhance efficiency and accessibility for all users.
