KIPCO appoints Samer Abbouchi as Group Senior Vice President for Investments

Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) – KIPCO, a leading diversified investment company based in Kuwait, has announced the appointment of Mr Samer Abbouchi as Group Senior Vice President – Investments. With an extensive two-decade background in finance and investment banking, Mr Abbouchi is poised to make a significant impact on the development of KIPCO’s investments, particularly in the financial and real estate sectors.

Sheikha Dana Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, KIPCO’s Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed delight at Mr Abbouchi’s addition to the investment team, noting his wealth of experience in investment banking within local and regional markets. She emphasized the valuable contribution he is expected to bring to the executive team.

Mr Abbouchi, prior to joining KIPCO, served as Deputy GM – Investment Banking at Gulf Bank. His career began with Ernst & Young, and he later joined Global Investment House, where he held the position of Senior Vice President – Investment Banking. A holder of a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from London Business School, Mr Abbouchi is also a CFA Charter holder.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining KIPCO, Mr Abbouchi stated, “I am very pleased to be joining KIPCO and have the opportunity to work with the Group CEO and the executive team to implement the company’s strategy.”

The appointment aligns with KIPCO’s strategic efforts to bolster its leadership team with experienced professionals capable of driving the company’s vision and growth in key sectors.
