Nokia’s CEO expected to visit Pakistan to discuss 5G & 6G technology

Dr. Umar Saif, the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications in Pakistan has revealed that the CEO of Nokia, the Scandinavian cellphone manufacturer, is expected to visit Pakistan in the near future. This announcement followed a meeting between Dr. Saif and Wille Eerola, the Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council.

During their meeting, the two leaders engaged in discussions concerning various matters of mutual interest. A primary focus was placed on strategies to enhance Pakistan’s IT exports, a sector that holds significant growth potential for the country.

Dr. Umar Saif expressed optimism about the prospects of expanding Pakistan’s IT exports, particularly in Scandinavian countries. He disclosed that Nokia’s CEO is scheduled to visit Pakistan in the coming days, marking an important development in the realm of telecommunications and technology.

Moreover, Dr. Saif noted that Nokia has been actively involved in assembling 4G phones in Pakistan. The impending visit of Nokia’s CEO is expected to delve into discussions surrounding the future of telecommunications technology, including 5G and 6G advancements.

Wille Eerola, during the meeting, extended his congratulations to Dr. Umar Saif on his appointment as the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication.

This visit by Nokia’s CEO underscores Pakistan’s growing significance in the global technology landscape and highlights the nation’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge telecommunications solutions.
