ADNOC Gas, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has inked a significant agreement to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) to PetroChina International Company Limited (PCI), a subsidiary of PetroChina Company Limited, a prominent player in China’s oil and gas industry. The estimated value of this agreement falls in the range of $450 million to $550 million.

This collaboration highlights ADNOC Gas’ expanding global footprint, with a particular focus on the East and South Asian markets. Natural gas, as a transitional fuel, is pivotal in reducing carbon emissions compared to other fossil fuels, and ADNOC Gas is committed to ensuring a stable supply to its customers worldwide.

Ahmed Mohamed Alebri, CEO of ADNOC Gas, expressed his satisfaction with the LNG supply agreement with PCI, which strengthens their presence in one of the world’s most rapidly growing gas markets. He emphasized that China remains a key market for ADNOC Gas, solidifying its position as a major LNG supplier across East and South Asia and beyond.

Wu Junli, Chairman of PCI, highlighted the importance of energy cooperation between China and the UAE. He expressed delight in partnering with ADNOC Gas, emphasizing that this agreement extends the collaboration between the two companies and underscores PCI’s commitment to ADNOC Gas as a global partner.

This agreement with PCI adds to ADNOC Gas’ list of significant international LNG sales agreements, including partnerships with Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX), TotalEnergies Gas and Power, and India Oil Corporation (IOCL).
