Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) has unveiled its ambitious regional expansion strategy, announcing plans to establish 14 new one-stop-shop service stations in Saudi Arabia. Through this strategic move, OOMCO aims to operate a total of 26 service stations in the kingdom by the fourth quarter of this year, further solidifying its presence in the highly promising Saudi Arabian market.

The announcement was made during a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between OOMCO and Tamiyoz for Fuel, a prominent investment and development company specializing in fuel stations in Saudi Arabia. The MoU was signed by Tarik Mohammed al Junaidi, Chief Executive Officer of OOMCO, and Yousif Masoud al Saadi, Chief Executive Officer of Tamiyoz for Fuel.

OOMCO has been committed to adopting a customer-centric approach and expanding its services beyond the traditional fuel-pump offerings. The company’s unique selling proposition lies in delivering comprehensive retail experiences to customers across all its operations. This approach has proven successful for OOMCO and presents a competitive advantage that is transferable to other regional markets, with Saudi Arabia being a key focus.

Jaber Mansour al Wahaibi, General Manager of International Retail, Business Development, Strategic Planning, & Marketing and Digital at OOMCO, highlighted the significance of the Saudi Arabian market as a key growth opportunity for the company. He stated, “OOMCO aims to operate 26 stations across Saudi Arabia by the end of 2023. We partnered with Tamiyoz, a reputed Saudi Arabia-based real estate investment and development company, to further facilitate this growth. This is in line with our aim to become one of the top five fuel marketers in the Gulf Cooperation Council by 2027.”

With its rapidly expanding service stations, OOMCO seeks to offer customers more than just fuel and lubricants. The company is transforming its service stations into attractive destinations for premium fuel, food, beverages, and other convenient items, as well as providing quality automotive services.

Yousif Masoud al Saadi, Chief Executive Officer of Tamiyoz for Fuel, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with OOMCO and highlighted the importance of meeting the growing demand for fuel stations in Saudi Arabia. He said, “Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing population and vibrant economy mean that there is a growing need for us to build and develop more service stations across the kingdom. We are pleased to work with Oman Oil Marketing Company as we are all committed to delivering high-quality products and customer service through these sites, which will also create more employment opportunities for local suppliers.”

With its focus on customer experience and retail transformation, OOMCO has signed franchise agreements with leading global food and beverage brands, as well as partnerships with food delivery providers and internationally renowned logistics companies.

As OOMCO expands its foothold in Saudi Arabia, the company is set to further strengthen its position as a key player in the region’s fuel and retail industry.
