The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed all tax officials to update their human resource information system profiles (HRIS).
Friday, the FBR issued directives in this regard to all Directors General/Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue and Chief Collectors/Directors General/Collectors of Customs.
According to the FBR directive to field formations, the majority of field formations are not updating the HRIS data despite the Board’s repeated instructions. Taking the problem seriously, the Competent Authority has instructed all commanders of field formations to guarantee that HRIS data is updated daily without fail.
To this end, the available IT personnel would be trained promptly by the various field formations to ensure that the authorised strength of each office matches the Budget Order and is instantly updated upon the transfer of any post into or out of the office in question.
In the event of a transfer (in/out), retirement, death, removal/dismissal, or any other punishment, etc., the corresponding record should be made in the HMS system on the same day, so that the working strength in each cadre is updated daily in HRIS data.
FBR added that in the event of any changes to the profiles of officers/staff, the concerned officers/staff must immediately update the HRIS system via the ADC/DC (HQ) involved.
