Hashoo Group has transferred ownership of Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel Peshawar to Serena Hotels.
There has been no official confirmation from Serena Hotels regarding the purchase price, despite the media’s circulation of numerous estimates.
The owners and management of Serena Hotels in Pakistan, Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development’s Tourism Promotion Services (TPS), have injected funds into the hotel to pay its financial obligations.
A news statement indicates that this will be the ninth Serena Hotel facility in Pakistan.
Through Serena Hotel’s vast portfolio in Islamabad, Kabul, Dushanbe, and Peshawar, this acquisition will enable regional connectivity for travellers. With the advent of the Hotel as a gateway into Central Asia, the brand portfolio will reach a new level.
Serena Hotels is a global brand that has become synonymous with extraordinary locations. The company will repair and remodel the Hotel Building, which is located in the heart of the city. This will be the second Serena Hotel in KP following the Swat Serena Hotel. This enables the brand to link the province’s rural parts with its diverse visitor communities.
The new building at the Peshawar Serena Hotel will improve the quality and comfort of the guest rooms, restaurants and event rooms, public areas, and Maisha Spa and Health Club. To ensure that service meets Serena Hotels’ standards, the business has devised rigorous training programmes for its Associates.
In Pakistan, Serena Hotels has properties in Islamabad, Faisalabad, Quetta, Gilgit Shigar, Khaplu, Altit, Hunza, Hunza, and Sost. Gilgit-Baltistan is also constructing two new hotels: the Hunza Serena Hotel, with 85 rooms, is scheduled to open in the later half of 2023, and the Sost Serena Hotel, with 56 rooms. In 2024, these hotels will open for business.
