Mansoor Ehsan elected as chairman of PFMA

Mansoor Ehsan was chosen as the new chairman of the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturing Association (PFMA) for 2022-2023. Mansoor Ehsan Sheikh is the chief executive officer of Xarasoft, a well-known shoe brand.

The members of the Lahore office of the PFMA greeted the newly elected chairman with a ceremony at the organization’s office. Mansoor Ehsan praised the efforts of outgoing chairman Zahid Hussain of Rafum Industries, office-bearers, and retiring members of the Executive Committee in his address. He pledged to make earnest efforts toward the resolution of the industry’s challenges. He vowed to maintain the ongoing projects and declared that every effort would be made for the footwear industry’s future expansion and success.

Mansoor Ehsan stated that all potential routes for collaborative ventures with worldwide footwear businesses would be explored, in addition to focusing on the skill development of workers and management for the sector’s collective gain.

The newly elected chairman stated that all departments will be held to the highest standards so that Pakistan’s footwear industry could compete on a global scale and produce high-quality shoes. He stated that horizontal and vertical linkages would be established to boost the nation’s industries. He promised to make all essential decisions with the consensus of the Executive Committee for the greater good of the Pakistani footwear industry and its manufacturers. He stated that every effort will be made to involve government departments in creating an environment conducive to the exporters, manufacturers, component suppliers, major, medium, and small footwear sectors, as well as SMEs with shared interests. He stated that a rapport will be established with the relevant government offices and national policymakers in order to solve the industry’s and manufacturers’ most pressing challenges and concerns.
