Fly Jinnah, Pakistan’s newest low-cost carrier and a joint venture between Lakson Group and Air Arabia Group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Syed Armaan Yehia as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Yehia has over 28 years of aviation experience and has held senior positions with two airlines in Pakistan, beginning as Director of Marketing of Aero Asia International, where he was also a founding team member, and driving the airline’s growth prior to joining Airblue in 2004 as Director of Commercial Operations and responsible for developing the airline’s commercial activities for nearly a decade. Utilizing the knowledge and experience gained in previous positions, he will collaborate closely with all stakeholders to ensure the company’s growth and long-term value for its customers and shareholders.

Fly Jinnah began its commercial operations on November 1, 2022, and currently operates domestic flights to five Pakistani cities: Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta. The airline operates a modern fleet of three Airbus A320 aircraft and serves domestic Pakistani destinations for the first year, after which it will expand its route network internationally.

In September 2021, Lakson Group and Air Arabia Group will establish a Pakistani joint venture airline. ‘Fly Jinnah’ adheres to Air Arabia’s low-cost business model and provides its customer base with a dependable operation and value-driven product, beginning with its aircraft, which is configured with 174 seats and one of the most spacious seat-pitch in any economy cabin. The aircraft is also equipped with “SkyTime,” a free streaming service that allows passengers to stream a variety of entertainment directly to their devices. A variety of snacks, sandwiches, hot meals, and beverages are also available at reasonable prices from the “SkyCafé” menu onboard.
