Similar to WAPDA, the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) is about to undergo a full digital transformation. It is one of Pakistan’s major electric companies. The company’s managing director, Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, verified this and stated that NTDC is dedicating the required internal resources to do so.

During the Enterprise Resource Project (ERP) launch ceremony, Khan made the announcement. He claimed that automating business procedures is the goal of the company’s digitization strategy. For the past three years, this transition has been ongoing, but it is now finally coming to an end. The project will be completed by the company in 18 months.

The ERP project has finally begun. The project, which will be finished in 18 months, is now formally beginning to be implemented.

Additionally, he disclosed that in terms of resource allocation for business automation, this project represented the highest expenditure ever undertaken by NTDC.

I anticipate that every employee will actively participate, assume responsibility, and provide the necessary contribution. The project team will be helped by higher management’s full support as they regularly monitor the project’s progress, Khan said.

For the project’s hardware, Siemens Pakistan will be in charge of its design, implementation, supply, and commissioning. The funding for the project is handled by the World Bank.

Although the project’s specifics are unknown, we may presume that it will greatly speed up and simplify the organization’s processes. There has been no confirmation yet, but it might also offer the final client a number of advantages.
