In a recent meeting with the country manager of Mastercard in Pakistan, Atyab Tahir, the DG IT-operations of PITB-the Punjab Information Technology Board addressed FinTech opportunities.
Detailed briefings on fintech ventures and the advantages of the IPG- Internet Payment Gateway services that can be purchased were included in this conference.
According to the PITB, Mastercard has shown its interest in partnering with PITB and has also lauded PITB’s digital fintech journey.
The E-Pay Punjab project director, Malik Ihsan Ali, also gave a briefing on fintech projects where all possible benefits of IPG-Internet Payment Gateway services were addressed by stakeholders.
China Union Pay is also a major stakeholder who has expressed interest in partnering with the PITB.
PITB is currently working on a range of key actions relating to Fintech and the technology accelerator to which it belongs.
The emphasis on financial technology to accelerate the overall growth of financial technologies and the revolution of Pakistan’s digital payment systems, which are lagging behind globally, is part of the government’s vision.
