Khan’s comprehensive energy sector experience includes the construction of oil infrastructure and the establishment of corporate alliances.
As he has had the opportunity to work in different markets, including Pakistan, Malaysia, the UK and the Philippines, he has both national and foreign industrial exposure.
For Thailand, Oman, Cambodia, Laos, and Dubai, Khan held regional positions as well. As a senior executive, he has an established track record and is a good strategic thinker. He remained part of the team responsible for converting the Burma Shell network in Pakistan into a brand called Shell Pakistan.
He previously served in Pakistan as an operations manager, managing a widespread nationwide Shell Oil Reserves, offering operational and technical insurance, and leading a large team of professionals. He was also the Head of Distribution Engineering for Pakistan, the UAE and Oman and was responsible for oil facilities and depots operated by the company, SBMs and oil pipelines.
He also acted as a shareholder delegate for a joint venture with PARCO, the PAPCO (WOP-White Oil Pipeline Project). From the inception to the final design and planning stage of EPCM, Khan also led a strategic growth LNG project.
In addition, he also held the position of network manager of the Shell Oil Company for Pakistan and Oman. Other roles included the planning manager for Pakistan, Thailand, Oman, Cambodia and Laos and the Malaysia-based maintenance consultant for Asia and Australia. He was a deputy at the Civil Aviation Authority for the Jinnah Terminal Project, New Quaid-i-Azam International Airport, Karachi, during the initial stages of his career as a’ planning engineer.’
