Engro Fertilizers Limited (EFERT), a subsidiary of Engro Corporation Limited, has announced the appointment of Ali Rathore as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for an 11-month term. The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors and shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in a notice issued on Wednesday.
Effective from April 26, 2024, Ali Rathore will assume the role of CEO, succeeding the current CEO, Ahsan Zafar Syed, whose tenure will conclude on April 25, 2024. Rathore, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Engro Fertilizers Limited, brings over 25 years of extensive experience to his new position.
Ali Rathore’s professional journey has traversed various countries, including the USA, UK, Australia, and the MENA region. With expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis, Risk Management & Controls, Investor Relations, and Mergers & Acquisitions, Rathore has established himself as a seasoned leader in the field.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Rathore served as the CFO for BHP Billiton’s Petroleum division, overseeing operations and implementing innovative strategies that resulted in substantial cost savings and exceeded financial goals. His leadership prowess was underscored by his ability to foster team morale and individual growth within the organization.
Rathore’s academic credentials include an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Fellowship from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Hons) in Economics from London Metropolitan University.
