Turki Badhris appointed as the President of Microsoft Arabia

Microsoft has named Turki Badhris as the President of Microsoft Arabia, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the company’s operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Badhris’s role will encompass driving Microsoft’s business growth in the region and spearheading innovative initiatives to accelerate digital transformation, aligning with the country’s Vision 2030 agenda.

Operating with three offices and boasting a workforce of over 200 employees, Microsoft Arabia also collaborates with a network of more than 1,600 partners dedicated to supporting Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning innovation economy. Aligned with the visionary leadership of the nation and its ambitious digital transformation agenda, Microsoft Arabia is committed to enhancing the Kingdom’s digital landscape through cutting-edge solutions, advanced expertise, and investments in technological infrastructure. Notably, the company’s plans include the establishment of a Microsoft cloud datacenter region, poised to bolster the nation’s digital infrastructure and unlock new economic opportunities.

In his capacity as President of Microsoft Arabia, Badhris will lead the charge in leveraging Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem to unlock significant economic potential within Saudi Arabia. According to IDC research, Microsoft, its ecosystem, and cloud-using clients are projected to generate approximately $24 billion in new revenue by 2026, while also creating around 87,760 direct and indirect jobs. Furthermore, it is anticipated that 28,710 individuals in the Kingdom will acquire IT skills during this period.

Commenting on his appointment, Turki Badhris expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Observing the rapid advancements and vast potential of the Kingdom, I firmly believe that Microsoft is uniquely positioned to drive digital transformation across all sectors and industries.” He further added, “Working alongside our talented team, I am dedicated to bringing Microsoft’s innovative solutions to customers and partners throughout Saudi Arabia. Together, we will harness the power of technology to foster positive impact and shape a brighter future for the Kingdom.”

Badhris brings over two decades of diverse industry experience to his new role, having held various leadership positions in multinational organizations across Middle Eastern markets. Prior to joining Microsoft Arabia, he served as Vice President, Public Sector at Microsoft Arabia. His professional journey also includes significant roles at DELL Technologies, VCE, and Oracle, where he earned recognition for his ability to cultivate long-term relationships and deliver cutting-edge value to customers.

Badhris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia. Passionate about driving business growth, technological evolution, and nurturing talent, he is a firm believer in the potential of Saudi youth to drive substantial impact and contribute to the advancement of the country’s digital economy.
