Kuwait International Bank (KIB) has appointed Ma’ab Mohammed Qassem as the new General Manager of the International Banking and Financial Institutions Department. This announcement underscores KIB’s dedication to talent development and the empowerment of women in pivotal leadership positions.
Qassem brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in the international banking sector, injecting a fresh perspective into her role. As the newly appointed General Manager, she will spearhead the development and management of KIB’s international relationships. Her responsibilities include driving growth in the bank’s international portfolio and promoting Sharia-compliant banking solutions to a broader audience, especially targeting international corporate clients.
Feras Al Darmi, General Manager of the Human Resources Department at KIB, expressed confidence in Qassem’s capabilities, stating, “Qassem is a rising force in the banking industry, challenging norms and setting new standards for leadership. Prior to joining KIB, Qassem served as the Deputy General Manager of Financial Institutions and Sovereigns at Gulf Bank, overseeing a global portfolio of assets and relationships. Her successful tenure included managing and developing a profitable portfolio of assets and correspondent banks.
