BisB appoints Mahmood Ali as Chief Corporate Communications & Marketing Officer

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), renowned for its leading Islamic digital banking services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has recently declared the appointment of Mr. Mahmood Ali as the Bank’s Chief Corporate Communications & Marketing Officer.

In his new role, Mr. Ali will be entrusted with overseeing all dimensions of brand management, marketing, and corporate communications at BisB.

Mr. Yaser Alsharifi, CEO of Bahrain Islamic Bank, expressed his satisfaction with Mr. Ali joining the team, emphasizing, “We are thrilled to welcome Mahmood to lead the Bank’s brand, marketing, and communications endeavors. BisB boasts a proficient team dedicated to delivering customer-centric and innovative financial solutions. Mahmood’s appointment is expected to play a pivotal role in enriching our service offerings by effectively engaging with our customers and further enhancing their banking experiences.”

Regarding his new role, Mahmood Ali stated, “Joining BisB at this exciting juncture, where the Bank’s strategy and vision are unequivocally delineated, presents a compelling opportunity. The Bank’s unwavering commitment to understanding and meeting customer requirements provides an excellent platform for me to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies that will effectively engage customers and elevate their overall banking journey.”

With over two decades of experience in managing brands and fostering a positive reputation through the execution of marketing and communications strategies on a global scale, Mahmood brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.

Prior to his role at BisB, Mahmood served as the Senior Director of Communications and External Affairs at Mumtalakat, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund. His previous positions also include serving as the Executive Director of Communications at Bahrain Economic Development Board and as a Partner and Managing Director at Bell Pottinger, a renowned London-based strategic communications agency.

With the appointment of Mahmood Ali, Bahrain Islamic Bank is poised to further strengthen its position in the market and enhance its customer-focused approach to banking services.
