Tanveer Karamat appointed as CEO of Octopus Digital

In place of Asmar Ahmed Atif, Tanveer Karamat has been named CEO of Octopus Digital Limited with immediate effect for the remainder of the term through 7 June 2024.

According to the stock filing, Asmar Ahmed Atif resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Octopus Digital Limited effective January 24, 2023. He will continue to serve as Director of Octopus Digital Limited.

Tanveer Karamat held the position of Executive Director and President at Avanceon Middle East & South Asia. He formerly held the positions of Country Manager at Honeywell Pte. Ltd. and Manager of Power Plant Sales at Wartsila. Tanveer has over 20 years of expertise in the engineering and technology fields. He has studied chemical engineering at Dawood College of Engineering & Technology.

In accordance with Section 187 of The Companies Act, 2017, a casual vacancy was created in the position of Chief Executive Officer, which has been filled by the Board of Directors of Octopus Digital Limited, as detailed in the preceding action.

In addition, Mohammad Arif Janjua has been appointed as a Director of Octopus Digital Limited with immediate effect to finish the remainder of Junaid Mushtaq Paracha’s tenure until 7 June 2024.

Effective 24 January 2023, Junaid Mushtaq Paracha resigned from his position as Director on the Board of Directors of Octopus Digital Limited.
