On January 13, 2023, Faisal Yousaf, Director General of IT-Operations of PITB, has taken the additional role of Chairman of the Punjab IT Board.
An industry veteran with over 24 years of experience, he has an exceptional resume. Faisal Yousaf is credited with creating innovative technological solutions for the Punjab government, some of which have been replicated by other provinces.
As DG PITB, Faisal Yousaf led the digitization of both the back office and front-end service delivery for numerous government ministries, including Finance, Law & Order, Health, Agriculture, and Labor & Human Resources.
His finest success was the invention and implementation of the fintech venture e-Pay Punjab, which was designed to digitise the province’s financial environment.
It was the province’s first payment aggregator and has since facilitated the collection of approximately Rs135 billion in lieu of various government fees and taxes. Similarly, the Dengue Tracking System built under his direction has received international praise.
