Pakistan and Japan have decided to strengthen their economic relations. The agreement was reached today in Islamabad during the 7th Japan-Pakistan High-Level Economic Policy Dialogue, which was conducted virtually (Friday).
The Pakistani delegation was led by Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Noor Ahmed, while the Japanese delegation was led by Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki.
Both sides addressed the state of bilateral economic relations and reaffirmed their commitment to extending mutually beneficial economic cooperation in a number of areas.
Due to its connectivity potential and role as a regional transit trade centre, Japan recognised Pakistan’s geoeconomic location as an attractive destination for Japanese investors.
