The United Arab Emirates continues to solidify its reputation as a premier business hub, attracting Pakistani corporations seeking to expand their global footprint. In a recent development, Ismail Industries Limited, a renowned manufacturer of confectionery items, has announced plans to establish a subsidiary in Abu Dhabi.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Ismail Industries disclosed its Board of Directors’ decision to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. The subsidiary will focus on the manufacturing, marketing, sales, and distribution of various food products, including biscuits, confectionery, and allied products.

“The company will accordingly seek all necessary regulatory approvals and proceed with the incorporation process once the same has been obtained,” the notice stated.

This announcement follows a similar move by Treet Corporation Limited, which recently established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Treet Trading LLC, in Dubai. Treet Corporation described the establishment of Treet Trading LLC as a strategic initiative to expand its business operations and explore new market opportunities in the international arena.

“The establishment of Treet Trading LLC will enable us to enhance our market presence in the Middle East and leverage the business-friendly environment of Dubai,” Treet Corporation stated in its notice to stakeholders.

The UAE’s appeal as a preferred destination for Pakistani companies is attributed to its streamlined payment processes, favorable business environment, and robust enforcement of contracts. The UAE ranks ninth globally for enforcing contracts and first for ease of obtaining electricity, according to international metrics.

Experts highlight that incorporating an office in the UAE offers Pakistani companies strategic advantages, allowing them to leverage the region’s advanced infrastructure and comprehensive legal framework. This enables firms to enhance their market presence and operational efficiency in a global business hub.

As Pakistani corporations continue to expand their international reach, the UAE remains a key destination, offering a conducive environment for business growth and development.
