Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited (PQFTL), a leading provider of Shariah-compliant Family Takaful solutions, proudly announces the appointment of Waqas Ahmad as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Waqas Ahmad brings with him an illustrious career spanning three decades in the Takaful and insurance industry, showcasing a wealth of achievements across various domains. His areas of expertise include Life Insurance/Takaful underwriting and servicing, product development and innovation, re-Takaful arrangements and strategic partnerships, digital transformation and technology integration, as well as the establishment and leadership of new Takaful ventures.
In his extensive leadership experience, Waqas Ahmad has held several pivotal roles. Notably, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at PQFTL, where he gained a profound understanding of the company’s operations and values. He also held the position of Executive Director at Salaam Takaful, leading the launch of a Family Takaful Company. Additionally, he was a founding member of the Operations Team at Al Rajhi Takaful in Saudi Arabia, successfully establishing and launching Life Takaful operations.
Waqas Ahmad’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He is a certified Director from ICAP, holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Islamic Finance (PGD), an MBA in Marketing, and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and an Associate of Customer Services (ACS) in Insurance.
