On the commemoration of Pakistan Day, ceremonies were solemnized across the provinces of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan to honour approximately 400 individuals for their exemplary contributions to various fields.
In Punjab, the Governor House in Lahore served as the venue where Governor Balighur Rehman presided over the conferral of civil awards. Notable figures such as actress Sajal Ali, TV personality Juggan Kazim, and qawwal Imran Aziz Mian were honoured with the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. The ceremony also recognised Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the Rye-e-Hilal Committee, alongside esteemed individuals excelling in education, medicine, engineering, and other domains.
Meanwhile, in Sindh, Governor Kamran Tesori convened at the Governor House in Karachi to bestow civil honours upon prominent figures. Actor Adnan Siddiqui, folk artist Mai Dhai, and others were bestowed with the President’s Pride of Performance Award, while Mufti Muneebur Rahman and former police inspector general Kaleem Imam received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for their noteworthy contributions.
In Balochistan, Acting Governor Abdul Khaliq Achakzai recognised outstanding service across various fields. Notable recipients included the late Justice (retd) Muhammad Noor Miskanzai and Lal Jan Jaffer, honoured with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for their public service endeavours.
Similarly, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a ceremony held at the Governor House in Peshawar saw Governor Haji Ghulam Ali present civil awards to distinguished personalities. Actors Ishrat Abbas and Ajab Gul, singer Hamayoon Khan, and others were among the recipients of the Presidential Pride of Performance Award and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for their significant contributions to their respective fields.
Additionally, civil awards were also bestowed upon deserving individuals in Gilgit-Baltistan. Governor Syed Mehdi Shah presided over the ceremony, wherein recognitions such as Tamgha-e-Shujaat, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Tamgha-e-Basalat, and Pride of Performance were conferred upon ten exemplary individuals.
The ceremonies were attended by government ministers, senior civil officers, and dignitaries, reflecting the nation’s appreciation for the outstanding achievements and contributions made by these individuals across diverse domains.
