iStoria secures $1.3 million

Saudi Arabia-based educational technology startup iStoria has successfully closed a Seed funding round, securing a total investment of $1.3 million. The funding round saw participation from prominent investors, including Nama Ventures, Classera, Flat6Labs, BIM Ventures, and several angel investors.

Founded in 2022 by Abdullah Al-Jaberi, Faisal Al-Hamoud, Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, Ismail Ashour, and Khaled Al-Rashed, iStoria specializes in providing English language education through a dedicated application developed in partnership with Oxford.

The newly acquired capital will be allocated towards enhancing the platform’s features, driving innovation, and expanding its user base to reach learners globally.

The standout feature of iStoria lies in its unique approach to English language education. The platform emphasizes vocabulary-building through graded-reader stories tailored to learners of all proficiency levels. Accompanied by comprehension questions and rigorous tests, this method ensures mastery of vocabulary and prepares learners for international language tests.

With this recent injection of funds, iStoria aims to further enhance its platform’s capabilities, accelerating innovation to deliver even greater value to its users. This milestone marks a significant step towards establishing iStoria as a leading player in the field of English language education.

Launched in March 2022 by Eng. Abdullah Al-Jaberi, iStoria brings together a team of experts with a wealth of experience in education, technical development, operations management, and marketing. The team is committed to empowering individuals to communicate effectively and confidently in English, driving the company’s mission forward.

Expressing his satisfaction with the conclusion of the funding round, Eng. Abdullah Al-Jabri, Founder and CEO of iStoria, stated, “Through this funding, we will continue our mission to empower individuals to communicate effectively and boost their confidence in using the English language. We are optimistic and eagerly anticipate the next phase of our journey. Our growth and impact will primarily come from serving organizations and expanding our global presence.
