Schneider Electric appoints Amel Chadli as Gulf Cluster President

Schneider Electric, a prominent player in energy management and automation, has named Amel Chadli as the Gulf Cluster President. In her new role, Chadli will spearhead initiatives focused on innovation, growth in digital transformation, sustainability, and advancements in energy management and industrial automation, leveraging artificial intelligence technologies across the Gulf region.

Chadli, previously the Vice President of Digital Energy and Energy Management Software for the Middle East & Africa, played a crucial role in leading smart building, healthcare, and microgrid initiatives. Her efforts significantly contributed to facilitating energy-efficient transformations for customers.

Expressing her commitment to Schneider Electric’s success in the UAE and the Gulf region, Chadli emphasized the company’s dedication to people development. She stated that investing in local talents and attracting emerging leaders will continue to be central to Schneider Electric’s growth strategy, reinforcing its position as the preferred digital partner for sustainability and efficiency.

Chadli highlighted the importance of forging partnerships and synergies in the region, involving stakeholders such as customers, partners, the public sector, and academia. As Schneider Electric positions itself as an ‘Impact Company,’ Chadli aims to collaborate on initiatives aligned with collective aspirations for a more sustainable and prosperous future.

With a career spanning 19 years with Schneider Electric, Chadli showcased her contributions to Africa’s energy evolution, ensuring equitable access to safe, reliable, and sustainable power. She is an advocate for the UN Women Empowerment Principles in Africa and sits on the Executive Committee of RES4Africa, a foundation dedicated to supporting Africa’s energy transition and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7).

Following Amel Chadli’s appointment, Ahmed Khashan, the former President of Gulf Countries at Schneider Electric, will assume the role of Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development for International Operations. His responsibilities will cover the Middle East and Africa, India, South America, and Pacific regions.
