The Board of Directors of Jeddah Airports, under the leadership of Engineer Raed Al Mudaiheem, has officially announced the appointment of Engineer Mazen Johar as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective February 1, 2024.
The board expressed its appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing CEO, Ayman Aboabah, acknowledging his valuable service during his tenure. Engineer Mazen Johar, the newly appointed CEO, brings a wealth of experience, boasting over 25 years of versatile expertise across various sectors in both public and private industries.
Engineer Johar’s most recent role was serving as the CEO of Aircraft Accessories and Components Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI). His career journey includes notable positions such as Deputy Minister for Industrial Services at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, CEO of Nova Healthy Water Bottling Company, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ground Handling at Saudi Arabian Cargo Company (SACC), and Vice President of Commercial at Basic Chemical Industries (BCI).
With an extensive corporate background, Engineer Mazen Johar spent nearly 18 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held various leadership positions. His experience extends to participation on numerous boards in both the public and private sectors, including the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC). Notably, he has received multiple leadership certificates from esteemed institutions, including Harvard.
Engineer Johar holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
His appointment as the CEO of Jeddah Airports is expected to bring strategic leadership and innovative insights to further elevate the airport’s standing in the aviation industry.
