Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman revealed Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plan to set up 60 logistics zones by the year 2030. Speaking at the Forum for International Cooperation during the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative Summit in Beijing, the minister underscored the significant alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and the transformative Saudi Vision 2030.
Emphasizing the profound impact of the global pandemic on the world economy, supply chains, and value systems, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the critical need for collaborative efforts among nations. He underscored the efficacy and practicality of the strategies embraced by China and Saudi Arabia, noting the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030 as key drivers for bolstering economic interconnectedness and resilience in the face of crises.
Prince Abdulaziz underscored the pivotal milestones achieved in 2022, notably the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Saudi Arabia and China. Additionally, the harmonization plan signed between Saudi Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative aims to amplify opportunities for collaboration and integration across various domains between the two nations.
The Belt and Road Initiative Summit, hosted by China’s President Xi Jinping, welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin as the guest of honor. The summit witnessed the participation of leaders and officials from over 130 countries during the two-day event on October 17 and 18. This platform served as a crucial forum for fostering global cooperation and synergies to advance mutual goals and objectives.
