STC Group, a leading force in digital transformation across the MENA region, proudly announces the commencement of operations in Europe by its subsidiary, TAWAL. This significant expansion marks another milestone in STC Group’s strategic growth initiatives.

TAWAL’s European debut comes on the heels of its acquisition of telecom tower assets in Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovenia from United Group. The acquisition, finalized on April 25th, 2023, received the requisite approvals from regulatory authorities. With this transaction, TAWAL has taken ownership of more than 4,800 sites in these countries, solidifying its presence in the European market.

This move represents the second phase of TAWAL’s expansion strategy, following the successful launch of TAWAL Pakistan in 2022. With this latest acquisition, TAWAL’s portfolio now boasts over 21,000 towers spread across five countries.

Commenting on this expansion, Mohammed Alhakbani, CEO of TAWAL, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to launch our operations in Europe. This achievement constitutes an important turning point for TAWAL as we expand our footprints into other significant markets. Leveraging our resources and best practices, we aim to bring even more value to the European markets by enabling our customers to operate more effectively and efficiently.”

As TAWAL embarks on this journey, its focus remains on enhancing digital connectivity and infrastructure across Europe, empowering businesses and individuals with faster and more reliable communication networks.
