HSBC, one of the world’s leading banking and financial services organizations, has named Antoine Maurel as the Head of Markets & Securities Services (MSS) Europe & MENAT. This appointment, effective from September 1, is pending regulatory approval.
In his new capacity, Antoine Maurel will relocate to London and join the senior leadership team responsible for HSBC’s global Markets & Securities Services business. His primary responsibilities will involve executing the strategic vision for Europe while also providing oversight for the MSS business in MENAT (Middle East, North Africa, and Turkiye).
Antoine Maurel boasts an impressive 25-year career with HSBC, during which he has held several leadership roles within the MSS segment. His most recent role, which commenced in April 2015, saw him play a pivotal role in the development of the MSS platform in the MENAT region. His efforts effectively cemented HSBC’s position as a dominant market player in this region.
