Kabeer Naqvi appointed as chairman of Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN)

The Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Kabeer Naqvi as its newly elected Chairman. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Mr. Naqvi is poised to lead PMN in its mission to promote financial and social inclusion, as well as economic empowerment for the underserved population of Pakistan.

Mr. Naqvi currently serves as the President and CEO of U Microfinance Bank (U Bank) and has been an integral part of the institution since 2015. During his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in the remarkable turnaround and expansion of the bank. Mr. Naqvi represents a new generation of bankers who prioritize innovation, evolution, and forward-thinking while remaining committed to serving the country.

Having dedicated nearly two decades to the microfinance industry, Mr. Naqvi possesses a deep commitment to economic enablement, poverty alleviation, and sustainable growth. His visionary leadership, strategic thinking, and proven track record make him an ideal candidate to steer PMN toward greater achievements.

As Chairman of PMN, Mr. Naqvi assumes the responsibility of designing new areas of interest, overseeing the network’s initiatives, fostering collaboration among member organizations, and driving the collective effort to expand access to financial services for the unbanked and underprivileged segments of society. His leadership will play a critical role in strengthening PMN’s advocacy for inclusive policies, improving regulatory frameworks, and facilitating open dialogues with all stakeholders to propel the growth and development of the microfinance sector in Pakistan.
