The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme to provide 15,000 E-Bikes and E-Rickshaws during the current fiscal year.
Thursday’s Committee meeting in Islamabad, presided over by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, resulted in the decision.
Under the programme, a pure loan of up to 0.5 million rupees will be provided under Tier-I with no markup and a three-year repayment period.
The ECC approved Customs Station Angoor Adda as an authorised land route for exports to Afghanistan and to Central Asian Republics via Afghanistan.
The ECC approved the Pakistan Sugar Mill Association Punjab Zone’s agreement to sell 20,000 metric tonnes of sugar at a retail price of 95 rupees per kilogramme to the general public through the Government of Punjab at district level during the month of Ramadan.
It also instructed to make similar arrangements with other provincial Sugar Mills Associations for sugar distribution in other provinces and regions.
In addition, the ECC approved Technical Supplemental Grants totaling 675,500,000 rupees for various ministries.
