SpaceX’s Director of Global Licensing and Market Activation, Ryan Goodnight, met with Syed Aminul Haq, the Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, to discuss the registration of SpaceX’s Starlink in Pakistan.

Minister claims that Starlink has registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. (SECP).

The purpose of the discussion was to examine how Starlink’s quickest and cheapest satellite internet services could pave the way for inexpensive broadband services throughout Pakistan.

Even in remote places where inactive mobile towers may be revived at cheap cost, the Minister expressed optimism that Starlink’s services could greatly lower the operational costs of telecom carriers.

“Our primary objective is to provide affordable broadband services to every corner of Pakistan,” the minister stated, adding, “Starlink can play a significant role in this regard.”

Ryan Goodnight praised the Minister for his entire cooperation and lauded Pakistan’s advancements in the IT and Telecommunications sectors. “Basic steps have been completed, and we are now prepared to move swiftly,” Ryan continued.

This innovation might potentially revolutionise Pakistan’s telecoms business by making internet services in remote locations faster and more inexpensive. The effective installation of Starlink’s services in Pakistan could be a major step in reaching the objective of a connected Pakistan.
