TAWAL, a renowned Saudi Arabian provider of telecom infrastructure, has officially launched its operations in Pakistan.
The company acquired AWAL Telecom’s infrastructure and 15,500 towers from its stockholders.
On Wednesday, a high-ranking delegation led by Mr. Emmanuel Leonard, Chief International Officer, thanked Federal Minister for IT and Communications Syed Amin Ul Haque in his office.
The minister welcomed the company, lauded TAWAL’s goals for the Pakistani telecom industry, and pledged his full support and collaboration.
Syed Amin Ul Haque is pleased to hear that the company is dedicated to develop its network throughout Pakistan, with a focus on reaching unserved and unconnected populations in remote locations.
He stated that we expect TAWAL will play an active role in creating chances for foreign investment and employment through the current expansion of networks and future networks like as 5G and IBS.
Mr. Emmanuel presented the IT minister with a shield and stated, “TAWAL Group is extremely appreciative for the support of the MOITT in launching its operations.” We obtained the necessary permit to erect mobile network towers in Pakistan. He stated that TAWAL is in line with the Pakistani government’s aim of providing cellphones to all citizens.
Assistant Secretary Ms. Aisha Humera, Member Telecom Muhammad Omar Malik, Country GM Tawal Pakistan Mr. Juan Pablo Sanchez, Director Sales Tawal Mr. Mubeen-Ul-Hassan, and Lead Corporate Affairs Col. (r) Syed Ahsan Gillani were in attendance at the meeting.
