In addition to assisting with train tickets and schedules, the RABTA app permits booking of taxis, meals, and hotels.
The Pakistan railway is about to unveil its Railway Automated Booking & Travel Assistance (RABTA) smartphone app, which will allow users to book train tickets and keep track of train timetables, hence improving the organisation of railway operation information.
The RABTA application was developed in accordance with Pakistan Railways and two Chinese firms. Using Information Technology, the agreement intends to enhance railway efficiency.
In addition to dealing with train tickets and schedules, the RABTA app will allow users to reserve taxis, lunches, and hotels, making it a comprehensive solution for rail travel.
Providing substantial benefits, the programme costs an additional Rs. 9 each train ticket, therefore purchasing a train ticket through the application will cost an additional Rs.
The revenue collected by the RABTA application would be split by the two Chinese firms and Pakistan Railway.
The application is a big step in digitising and enhancing the efficiency of railroad operations. Now, weary travellers who have endured ticket lines and delayed train timetables will have a vastly improved travel experience.
