Bank of Punjab and Sports Board Punjab launches first-ever ‘Athlete Card’

Malik Taimoor Masood, the minister for sports and youth affairs in Punjab, praised the Bank of Punjab for providing all necessary support for the smooth running of the 73rd BOP Punjab Games in a statement read at the opening ceremony.

Malik Taimoor Masood, Punjab’s Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, declared: “The Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Department will also introduce the first-ever Athlete Card for the welfare of the province’s male and female athletes in partnership with the Bank of Punjab. Our athletes may respectfully satisfy their demands thanks to the first-ever Athlete Card.

For the welfare of national athletes and the advancement of sports culture in the province, it is unquestionably a revolutionary step, he continued.

Masood said, “The delegations from all the provinces of Pakistan are also participating in the historic Punjab Games and we are determined to promote unity, solidarity, and brotherhood among all the provinces of the country. All sections of the society including transgender and special athletes are given due importance and representation in the 73rd BOP Punjab Games.”

In a statement on Wednesday, Zafar Masud, President, and CEO of The Bank of Punjab praised the Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab for holding the Punjab Games at such a high level. In order for the most significant number of athletes to use this fantastic facility, he declared that the first-ever athlete card would be improved in the future.

According to Masud, increasing women’s engagement in athletics is a crucial area that has previously been absent. The participation of women, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities in this massive gathering are heartening. The diversity of this event has been further strengthened by the involvement of delegates from various provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, etc.
