The government has been impacted in many different ways by recent hacking and audio disclosures. The government will now be able to defend itself against such incidents thanks to Web 3.0 technologies.
The infamous audio leaks received all of Pakistan’s media’s attention during the course of the previous month. These files contained recordings and voice calls from some of Pakistan’s most powerful individuals. Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Qamar Jawed Bajwa, the COAS, and even the head of the opposition, Imran Khan, all on the list.
These audio files, which contained private information, revealed many realities and also tarnished the reputations of some important politicians. The administration was aware that they needed to address this right away after such a significant impact.
The Punjab government has now chosen to implement Web 3.0, adding to the litany of security measures taken in response to the audio leaks. The Punjab government will transition to a decentralized system as a result of this choice. A data breach would be challenging to execute with a decentralized system in place.
Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi assembled a 22-person committee before making this choice. Ministers of finance and information and technology jointly headed this body. All committee members were instructed to conduct analysis, research, and study. In addition, they had the duty of creating a roadmap for Punjab’s adoption of Web 3.0.
Disrupting the status quo: As part of Web 3.0, we aim to explore opportunities in the “new economy,” “tech R&D,” and the development of a talent pool of fresh individuals who can contribute to the ecosystem. Youth and digital are the two pillars on which Pakistan’s future rests; both are crucial to the PTI and Imran Khan’s platform. Dr. Arslan Khalid, minister of information and technology, made the announcement on Twitter.
Dr. Sarfraz Khurshid, vice chancellor of the Information Technology University, claimed that the use of Web 3.0 could result in significant modifications to encryption and provide stronger protection for government agencies. He continued by discussing the various ways that governments could use eweb3 to ensure justice and transparency.
Although it is still in the early stages of development, the Punjabi government may soon start using a Web 3.0 environment for its daily activities. Do you believe other provincial governments ought to use decentralized technologies as well?
