Lt Gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani appointed as new WAPDA chairman

Sajjad Ghani, a retired lieutenant general, has been named the new WAPDA chairman by the government (Water and Power Development Authority).

The appointment of Lt. Gen. (ret.) Sajjad Ghani has been announced by the Establishment Division. The Federal Cabinet’s consent to the appointment of the Chairman WAPDA was obtained through dissemination.

The Chairman WAPDA position will be filled for a five-year term. Lt Gen (retd) Muzammil Hussain, who resigned from his position in May just days after Shehbaz Sharif assumed the oath of office as Prime Minister, has been replaced by Lt Gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani.
