foodpanda Appoints Muntaqa Peracha as Managing Director in Pakistan

Muntaqa Peracha

Muntaqa Peracha has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of foodpanda Pakistan, effective June 1, 2022. Muntaqa will be in charge of foodpanda’s overall operations in the country, as well as its growth and expansion, as well as the introduction of new verticals, as MD. Muntaqa joins the company after two and a half years as the Commercial Director of foodpanda Pakistan, where he helped establish the brand as a household name in the country.

Muntaqa was in charge of the core food delivery company throughout his time there, with a focus on establishing foodpanda as the preferred platform for collaborating vendors, consumers, and riders. He was instrumental in creating important partnerships across the industry, empowering teams on the ground, and pushing strategic investments in capacity building for foodpanda to become the country’s premier food and grocery delivery platform. He also established new verticals like cloud kitchens and pandago, as well as foodpanda’s Logistics-as-a-Service vertical, which delivers quick, on-demand delivery, and grew the foodpanda Home Chefs programme to more than ten thousand registered home-based enterprises today.

Muntaqa adds his knowledge in emerging markets, strategy, growth, commercial innovation, and business/profitability turnarounds to the table, based on his more than 18 years of experience leading teams in high-growth IT firms in Pakistan and beyond.

“Muntaqa has been an integral part of foodpanda’s growth journey for the past few years, and I’m confident that under his leadership, the company will continue to scale across Pakistan and reach new milestones in the years ahead,” said Jakob Angele, foodpanda Asia’s CEO.

Muntaqa Peracha said, “I’m honored to take up the mantle as MD of foodpanda Pakistan.” “I appreciate the trust placed in me by the foodpanda leadership team, and I look forward to leading the team as we expand our footprint in Pakistan and better serve our community of riders, merchants, and customers.”
