Bill Gates, the American business magnate, and Microsoft founder arrived in Pakistan for the first time and visited Prime Minister Imran Khan, among other scheduled meetings.
The well-known benefactor arrived at Nur Khan Air Base in the country’s federal capital and was hailed by government officials.
During his brief visit, Gates will meet with President Dr. Arif Alvi and other senior authorities.
Bill and Melinda Gates, co-chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a key contributor to worldwide polio eradication, will attend an assessment of Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate the virus.
In Chak Shahzad, a posh district of Islamabad, the world’s fourth wealthiest man also paid a visit to a Covid hospital.
He is scheduled to visit the National Command and Operation Center headquarters later in the day.
