The VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu on Monday opened the Jazz Digital Park (JDP) that was established with an investment of about US$ 8 million.
Located in Islamabad, the JDP would expedite the Country’s digital transformation agenda by dramatically increasing the existing level of IT services being supplied to various sectors.
With a current capacity of more than 300 racks, expandable up to 450 racks, and a 3-megawatt power infrastructure, The JDP is Pakistan’s largest Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) Tier-III certified data center in terms of white space and power capacity. Jazz will employ this digital park to offer secure IT infrastructure and hardware hosting facilities to enterprises as well as local startups.
The JDP will also be hosting the new cloud platform due to be announced by Jazz. The onshore cloud will be a huge step forward in guaranteeing that data developed in Pakistan is hosted within the nation.

Jazz also wants to aid the Pakistani startup ecosystem by delivering cloud credits under its premium startup accelerator program Jazz xlr8 at the National Incubation Center. The cloud infrastructure is not only intended to lessen the entry barrier for prospective Pakistani businesses but is also expected to assist current startups to speed their scaling up initiatives.
