Mondelēz Pakistan appoints new Managing Director Sami Wahid

Mondelēz Pakistan, one of Pakistan’s and global top snacking brands, announces the appointment of Sami Wahid as the new Managing Director (MD) beginning January 2022. Wahid will be accountable for the overall business strategy and commercial offerings.

As a specialist in the snack and beverage sector, Wahid provides over 17 years of expertise in the domains of marketing, sales, and strategy. His work comprises a holistic business strategic direction and commercial operations for Pakistan while being situated locally. Sami has had a lengthy history with Mondelez International, starting back in 2015 where he became part of the organization and have covered different tasks across the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) regions. Armed with expertise in previous businesses, he has developed a successful career in the food and beverage industry.

Most recently, Sami served as the Strategy Lead for MENAP at Mondelez guiding the firm and reforming it through the hard times of Covid-19. Prior to this, he has had a remarkable track record being responsible for driving the business strategy, base equity, and innovations.

Sami has his origins in Pakistan where he received an MBA in Marketing and bachelor’s from the Institute of Business Management in Pakistan.
