PayPro, NIFT join hands for digital commerce payments

PayPro, Pakistan’s fastest-growing fintech company, has entered into an agreement with National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT), one of the country’s largest payment processors, to enable digital commerce payments (mobile/electronic commerce payments) via NIFT’s DFS platform under the brand name “NIFT ePay” for customers to make digital payments to the parity.

Both organizations are committed to promoting digital transactions. NIFT ePay has developed an interoperable and secure digital commerce payments gateway that is compatible with any bank account or wallet in Pakistan and supports card transactions. This enables businesses that are being digitized to accept e-commerce payments directly from their bank accounts or wallets in addition to existing card-based transactions. The deal was inked at the NIFT headquarters by Haider Wahab, CEO, and Ali Janjua, CEO, PayPro. Other senior management representatives from both firms were also present during the signing.

Ali Janjua, CEO PayPro, stated on the occasion, “This deal will enable PayPro to further digitize payments in Pakistan and deliver next-generation payment solutions to SMEs and corporations, thereby unlocking the potential value of Pakistan’s MSME’s.” PayPro is perfectly suited to engage with and support banks as their preferred Transaction Banking partner, assisting them in digitizing transactions for their SME and Corporate customers. This collaboration with NIFT strengthens our technical integration with Pakistan’s financial institutions and lays the groundwork for PayPro’s ambition to become the most innovative digital financial services company in the country”.

“PayPro has provided promising use cases by enabling digital payments and services through NIFT’s e-Payment Gateway for MSMEs,” stated Haider Wahab, CEO of NIFT. We are committed to assisting these creative use cases and expanding Fintech firms due to their agility and focus on payment enablement. NIFT will continue to foster distinctive and innovative concepts that add to Pakistan’s digital commerce infrastructure. As I have stated repeatedly, we believe in entrepreneurs that require institutional assistance to develop and sustain innovative platforms.”
