Daewoo buses to setup its assembly plant in Pakistan

Daewoo has announced that beginning in early 2022, it will import modern luxury buses from King Long. According to reliable sources, Daewoo Pakistan has begun importing 13 million 49-seater buses as Complete Built-up Units (CBUs) from Chinese manufacturer King Long.

Daewoo also mentioned in a brochure that the interior would feature a front VIP cabin and a rear economic zone. The buses’ interiors have been designed with a focus on comfort and elegance.

The buses are low-rider vehicles with a double windshield design, bringing their bodies closer to the ground for increased stability at high speeds. Rapid braking is also mitigated by a low-riding body.

On July 27, Javed Afridi, a significant shareholder in MG Pakistan, stated that JW Forland introduced the luxury bus experience to Pakistan, noting that 20 of the 50 vehicles had already been acquired by Faisal Movers.

Pakistan’s public transportation system has been in desperate need of improvement for a long time. These changes are expected to receive widespread support from the public.
