PTCL, Cisco sign service provider agreement to modernise IT infrastructure

Through the signing of a Service Provider Alliance agreement, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Cisco established a strategic partnership to supply services to businesses in Pakistan.

The signing event took place at PTCL’s headquarters in Islamabad. The agreement was signed by Zarrar Hasham Khan, Chief Business Services Officer, PTCL, and Kashif Ul Haque, Country General Manager, Cisco, as well as top personnel from both organisations.

According to a news release issued here, both organisations intend to collaborate and modernise the IT infrastructure through the provision of cost-effective and creative services. This will not be restricted to technology, but will also include strategic direction and a road map for the customer’s successful digital transformation journey.

Zarrar Hasham Khan, PTCL’s Chief Business Services Officer, stated on the occasion, “This partnership with Cisco enables PTCL to serve customers across geographic and demographic boundaries and exceed their expectations.” Additionally, it would aid Pakistan’s digital transformation path by encouraging the construction of a complete digital workspace and lifestyle. We will be able to provide a safe technology basis for our corporate customers, one that incorporates connectivity, automation, and analytics for improved collaboration across the whole business value chain.”

Kashif Ul Haque, Cisco’s Country General Manager in Pakistan, stated during the event, “Together, Cisco and PTCL will be able to transform the way businesses are conducted in Pakistan.”

Our goal is to act as a catalyst for change by utilising SPaaCH (Service Provider as a Channel) in the most efficient and effective manner possible. We are quite grateful for this relationship, which will help us to turn our customers’ networks into a more agile and software-based platform.”

PTCL continues to lead the way in establishing such projects that would pave the way for cutting-edge Cloud-based solutions and managed services that will benefit our corporate clients throughout Pakistan.
